's going to be too hard to see around the city. we have been sort of all around. san francisco is just overflowing with 49ers pride. we did a couple of stops along the city today just to check it out as we are days way from the big game. yesterday mayor lee declared that it would be red and gold weekend couraging fans and local businesses to show off their 49ers pride by sporting the team logo or colors. the city's devotion to the super bowl bound 49ers, local graffiti artist steve and tim have aptly named their 30-foot masterpiece the city bleeds gold. the mural was developed on a rooftop using rock climbing gear to get up that high. if this is any indication of what's going to happen on sunday, the 9ers may have something to worry about. this is the san francisco zoo's black rhino named boon. he was supposed to eat the baltimore ravens for breakfast this morning. zookeepers created the ravens logo out of boone's breakfast vegetables and then let him in to eat it but instead he ate the go 9ers instead and boone is named after the 49ers right tackle
case is so personal for the san francisco police chief. >> reporter: in 1984 he was part of the initial search so yes, this case hits home with him and today he gave us insight on why investigators targeted this house in connection with the disappearance of kevin collins. >> reporter: the recent search warrant tied to kevin collins' case is sealed but -- >> it is hurtful. brings back memories. >> doesn't seem real. >> it is real. kevin collins disappeared 29 years ago while on his way home from school. yesterday the san francisco police department searched this home blocks from where he was last seen. >> the inspectors developed news information that conducted additional investigation. it was enough to get a search warrant. >> reporter: what was the evidence? the records office said the warrant was returned this afternoon but it was sealed. the police chief said a man who lived at the home was once a person of interest, that man has since died. >> you know what, they have more investigating to do. and as they do that, when they think it is ready you will get you the perso

in the heart of san francisco. good evening, i'm annette. breaking news on the peninsula after two people, including a two-year-old child, were shot in menlo park. the victims were at a mcdonald's in east palo alto. don knapp picks up the story from there. don. >> reporter: we're on willow road. this is where the shooting occurred. probably the traffic lights of the intersection. as we understand it, two vehicles were at the intersection, an altercation ensued, a gun reached out the window and started firing into the other vehicle, quite a few shots were fired and right now, we can hear from the commander to tell us what happened. >> at this point, the two victims are at stanford hospital, they're in stable condition. my understanding is that the injuries to the child are wounds to the legs and a graze to the head. the mother is also wounds to the legs. they are all in stable condition. they are nonlife threatening injuries at this time. >> as we understand it, the shooting occurred here and the victim's vehicle drove like mad over to the east palo alto area where the mcdonald's is and

dig up the concrete floor of a garage in san francisco as investigators revisit a cold case of a missing boy. good evening i'm frank somerville. >> and i'm julie haener. the case of a missing boy is back in the news tonight. kevin collins was on his way home from practice when he vanished. healther holmes has been tucking with family members but we begin with amber lee where today's search took place. amber. >> reporter: julie the 12 hour search ended at about 6:30 tonight. kevin collins was last seen standing at a bus stop right where i am. and the search took place across the street outside blue home with the white trim. a police source characterized this as a quote check box investigation to revisit all suspects and leads from the kevin collins case. one neighbor who's the mother of two children tells us she's unsettled by the search. >> what's your reaction as a mom. >> terrifying. especially in your own neighborhood. i mean it was a long time ago but i think in everyone's mind there's always a fear. >> reporter: san francisco police set up a search headquarters. >> they

from tracy died. the names of the victims have not been released. >>> some san francisco taxi customers are not happy. they are complaining loudly. brian flores is live in san francisco now to tell us what they are complaining about. brian? >> reporter: hi, dave. good morning. if you have actually ridden a taxi here, i would say for the most part, the experience mass been heavily good for a lot of people. for about 1700 people, they didn't like the experience and they complained to the city. according to an article by the bay citizen, about 1700 passengers complained about the their service. riders can complain to the 311 complaint line. the article states between july of 2011 and july of 2012 there was pan increase in 20% -- there was an increase of 20%. a list of complaints taxi drivers driving unsafely on the roads. there were complaints that drivers would refuse to take credit cards. there was at least one incident where a passenger alleged that a driver stole his credit card number. there were also complaints of driver's racial profiling, refusing to pick up passengers because of t
